Ze volgde meerdere fotografische opleidingen (avondlessen aan het ENSP in Arles, een stage bij de fotografische afdeling van de musea van Bordeaux, stages bij gerenommeerde fotografen tijdens de Rencontres Internationales de la Photographie in Arles, enz.), met als doel haar kijk op de wereld visueel te ontwikkelen: de kleine momenten van po\u00ebzie die het leven biedt naar boven brengen bij degenen die weten hoe ernaar te kijken. In weerwil van hun kinderdromen staan deze kinderen voor dagelijkse beproevingen. Door hun gebrek aan voedsel, ontoereikende gezondheidszorg en moeilijke toegang tot onderwijs blijven ze verstoken van hun basisrechten.<\/p>\n<p>Door middel van deze beelden willen we een stem geven aan de stille en onzichtbare kinderen die, ondanks hun capaciteiten en talenten, verstoken blijven van veel kansen door hun geografische locatie en bestaande ongelijkheid. Elk beeld probeert een moment uit hun leven vast te leggen en te vertellen over realiteiten die vaak verborgen blijven achter muren van onverschilligheid.<\/p>\n<p>Deze serie is een uitnodiging om beter naar deze kinderen te kijken; kinderen wier enige misdaad is dat ze in een grensgebied wonen waar geen gelijke kansen en voorzieningen zijn. Maar de verschillen in kwaliteit van deze ervaring hebben telkens tot andere verhalen geleid. Vanaf het begin van zijn bestaan heeft de mens eenzaamheid gekend en na het ervaren van eenzaamheid is de mens niet meer dezelfde als voorheen. Eenzaamheid heeft het vermogen om een nieuwe definitie van de mens te geven. Een beeld dat soms eng, eeuwig en mysterieus is.<\/p>\n<p>In de context van de traditie waarmee ik verbonden ben wordt de mens gezien als arbeidskracht, ongeacht zijn geslacht. Mannen en vrouwen werken op het land of hoeden hun schaapskuddes ergens ver van huis, waar de populatie kinderen meestal erg groot is. Deze kinderen of baby&#8217;s die niet in staat zijn om in hun meest basale behoeften te voorzien brengen hun tijd meestal door in eenzaamheid, hopend op de terugkeer van deze arbeidskrachten.<\/p>\n<p>In de wieg van hun kinderen, die meestal door henzelf is gemaakt, leggen vaders en moeders iets heiligs om hen te beschermen tijdens hun langdurige eenzaamheid. Deze heilige voorwerpen kunnen een Koran, een gebed, een talisman of iets dergelijks zijn. Op die manier is de eenzaamheid van het kind onder controle zodat er uiteindelijk een mens uit zal groeien die een prachtig verhaal zal schrijven.<\/p>\n<p>In deze fotoreeks probeer ik deze eenzaamheid te laten zien, samen met hoe die zich vastzet in de moderne mens. Een mens die, sinds de Verlichting, de vergeten schaduw van mythen, verhalen en sjamanen in zijn diepste bewustzijn heeft weggeduwd. Maar ik geloof dat vergeten niet betekent dat het verdwenen is.
