Mark your calendars for Sunday 8 June 2025, when we will celebrate the official opening of the 5th edition of Lens op de Mens – Photo Festival Pelt.
We warmly welcome all photographers, contributors, volunteers, jury members, sponsors and partners to CC Palethe.
The presentation will be in the hands of talented young actor Scott Reniers, who has his roots in Pelt. Scott trained at the Royal Conservatory in Antwerp and the Toneelacademie in Maastricht.
Presentation of the Awards
During this festive opening ceremony, the coveted Awards of Lens op de Mens 2025 will be presented. This unforgettable moment will be led by our festival president Carine Van Gerven, together with competition jury president Johan Brouwers.
Stijn Meuris
To conclude the awards ceremony, Stijn Meuris drags us into a captivating story. In his characteristic style, he gives a quirky take on one of the winning photos of Lens op de Mens 2025 and reveals the stories behind the image.
Johan Thaens
The musical accompaniment to this festive occasion will be passionately provided by Johan Thaens. He will bring his unique musical vision to life, inspired by one of the winning pictures.
