Where to start your visit to Lens op de Mens?

CC Palethe

CC Palethe (POI 1A) in Jeugdlaan 2 (GPS 51.211239° NB 5.428118° OL) is the perfect place to start your visit to Lens op de Mens. There is ample parking space opposite the CC Palethe building. At the entrance to the cultural centre, there is an information column containing the programme booklet in Dutch and English, with all the information you need about the exhibitions, as well as a route map. You can also pick up forms for the photography quest there. All of the exhibitions are within walking distance of the centre of Overpelt. Entry to Lens op de Mens is free, including the guest exhibitions.
Another large car park can be found at Nieuwe Markt (GPS 51.209786° N 5.423998° E), also right in the city centre.

Follow the signs with the Lens op de Mens logo affixed to the lighting poles. The white signs point you in the recommended walking direction with ascending POI numbering. If you see black signs, you are walking the route in the opposite direction with counting down POI numbering.

Photo quests for young and old

Want to experience the exhibition in a different way? Then try one of our photo quests tailored to different age groups. A challenge for young and old alike. The forms for the searches are available free of charge in the information kiosks at various locations on the route, including CC Palethe, Pelle-Melle and the church. You can also download them from the links below.

This form contains details of photographs to look for along the route of the open-air exhibition. On each photo on display, you will find a serial number starting with an A (amateur photographer) or P (professional photographer) at the bottom right-hand corner. Write down the number of the photo corresponding to the detail photo on the entry form.
